CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2024 AWARD FOR MUSIC
The
Dieter W. Bäuerle - Stiftung für Wissenschaft und Kunst is calling for
applications for the
2024 Dieter W. Bäuerle Award for Music.
The prize is awarded to young musicians up to
ten years after completing their studies. The award is intended to honor
individuals who, with the highest musical qualifications, also develop new
interdisciplinary potential (e.g. philological, editorial, in cultural communication
or in the field of artistic research).
Support is given in the form of:

Scholarships to the benefit of artists in the
early stages of their careers
·
Financial support of research trips and
residencies
·
Support for research stays in the home country
and abroad
·
Funding for the development of exceptional
artistic projects (e.g., premiere recordings, instrument development,
compositions, or artistic presentations)
The prize
money amounts to 2500 Euro.
The form of the application to be submitted is
open. Evidence must be
provided:

Academic degrees
·
Artistic excellence
(through documentation of reference projects, such as audio or video
documentation as links, scores, etc., including media coverage)
·
Two letters of recommendation
·
Motivation letter
·
Description of the project
to be funded with the award money
Send your application or nomination by May 31,
2024, exclusively by email with the subject "2024 Dieter W. Bäuerle Award
for Music" to office.iap@jku.at.
Different file formats are to be combined into one ZIP
file.
The selection of the prize winners will be made by the
artistic advisory board. The legal process is excluded.
The prize will be awarded at a ceremony at Johannes
Kepler University Linz in September/October 2024.
